National Honor Society
National Honor Society has existed in the United States since 1920. The Buffalo chapter has existed since 1985. To be eligible for membership, a student must be a sophomore or junior and have a 3.5 GPA. Students are also evaluated on the society's goals of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. No student is inducted simply because of high academic average. The National Honor Society strives to recognize the total student, one who excels in all these areas.
